The Supercomputing Centre of TUKE announces the opening of a supplementary call for the allocation of computing time – PERUN#2501.1.

The objective of this call is to provide access to the computational resources of the HPC PERUN system for scientific research, educational, governmental, and commercial projects that require high-performance computing capacity.

 

Call Timeline

Call period: 16 February 2026 – 31 May 2026
Application submission period: 16 February 2026 – 6 March 2026

If computational capacity allows, the registration period may be extended. Any extension will be duly announced.

 

Eligibility

Applications for computing time may be submitted by:

  • scientific researchers and academic staff of Slovak universities and research institutions,
  • research and governmental institutions,
  • members of ministries and state organizations of the Slovak Republic,
  • university students with an officially assigned final thesis,
  • commercial entities (e.g., industrial research teams or technology companies).

 

Terms of Use

For academic and governmental institutions, computing time is provided free of charge.

For commercial use, terms and pricing are determined individually, depending on the scope and nature of the requested computation.

 

Objective of the Call

Call PERUN#2501.1 represents an extension of the first phase of making the HPC PERUN computational capacities available. Its objective is to support the development of science, research, and innovation through the efficient use of modern high-performance computing technologies.


Call for Allocation of Computing Time PERUN#2501

The Supercomputing Center of the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) announces the first official call for computing time allocation PERUN#2501. The goal of this call is to provide access to the HPC PERUN system’s computing resources for research, educational, governmental, and commercial projects that require high computational performance.

Call Schedule

  • Call period: November 20, 2025 – May 31, 2026
  • Application submission: November 20, 2025 – December 5, 2025 January 31, 2026
  • Project approval: starting on December 12, 2025
  • If computing capacities remain available, the registration period may be extended. Any extension will be announced via the portal portal.hpc.tuke.sk.

How to Apply

Applicants who are not yet registered users of the HPC system must first register at portal.hpc.tuke.sk.
After logging in, they complete the electronic form for the PERUN#2501, providing basic project information and specifying the requested level of computing performance.

Eligibility

  • Research and teaching staff of Slovak educational institutions,
  • Research and governmental institutions,
  • Members of Slovak Republic ministries,
  • University students,
  • Commercial entities.
